Identifying Opportunities in Economic and Regulatory Trends

https://www.neweurope.eu/article/economic-opportunities-for-thousands-of-refugees-across-uganda/

I found this article, Economic Opportunities for thousands of Refugees across Uganda, by typing in economic opportunities into Google and searching in the news tab. I believed that there is an opportunity from the headline of the article and reading the article. The customer of the economic opportunity will be the Uganda refugees communities. I think that the idea of training refugees in business and financial skills to help the inclusion of refugee camps from the north, south and west is easy to exploit because if there was no need for the skills, the skills would not have been taught.

I saw this opportunity because European Investment Bank and Centenary Bank are acting in a charitable way to help the refugees in Uganda. I admire this because of my previous experience with United Way of North Central Florida. The organization would give help with completing taxes for free.

I found this article, AMC and Manitoba Plant Joint Economic Opportunities, by typing in economic opportunities in Google and searching in the news tab. I believed that there is an opportunity from the headline of the article and reading this article. The customer of this opportunity is both the AMC and the Province of Manitoba. I think that this opportunity is difficult to exploit because of the history between the first nation and province protectors. I really want to believe that people have good intentions because it is the 21st century, but I think tribes get the short end of the stick.

If everything works out, I do believe that there is an opportunity for economic development because they are sharing the wealth and prosperity of the lands. Also, both parties will have an equal pull in handling the responsibilities of the land.

I found this article, Landlords sell up as Regulatory Changes Bite, by typing in regulatory changes and trends in Google and searching in the news tab. I believe there is an opportunity because of the reasons why landlords are choosing to sell with every tax increase. The customer is the landlord, whether or not they are being thought of as a customer. In order to have apartments, you need to have landlords or apartment companies. The opportunity is to listen to landlords, increased taxes has caused rebellions. Decreased taxes have caused recessions. There needs to be a happy medium. Therefore, I do believe that this opportunity is difficult to exploit.

I see the opportunity here because I have spent a year working in apartment complexes. Personally, I do not think this type of work is for me. I don't think fair housing laws rule in the favor of tenants and sometimes landlords.

https://www.beckersspine.com/spine/item/45811-the-regulatory-changes-spine-surgeons-want-most.html

I found this article, The Regulatory Changes Spine Surgeons want most, by typing in regulatory changes in Google and searching in the news tab. I believe there is an opportunity in this article because patients can't afford proper health insurance and doctors are not being paid enough. It sounds like both parties are fighting for the same thing. Doctors do not want to see unsafe procedures done on patients and they want to work. The opportunity is to put stricter laws on health insurances or reform them. This opportunity is difficult to exploit. This has been an issue for years and I don't believe that it will be an easy fix.

I see the opportunity in this situation because my family and I have opted out of going to doctors because of health insurance. This is a real issue among people who don't have the opportunity to get the help they need.

  1. Hi! The economic and regulatory trends you found are very interesting. All the trends, both regulatory and economic can definitely be opportunities. You found trends that easily identified as opportunities with problems that could be fixed. The regulatory change you found about the spinal surgeons is very interesting and could be a good opportunity for health insurance companies to change. You chose really interesting trends and changes that could definitely be opportunities. Really good job!

  2. Hi Emma,
I really liked your articles. Your last one really interested me because I can relate. Me and my family have been working hard to find a great health insurance. due to high health insurance policies it makes it looks like we nearly have no healthy insurance unless something actually tragic happens. This is a problem that Trump id trying to fix to ensure health insurance is balanced between all classes.

  3. Hi Emma! Awesome and interesting choice in articles! Some of them really caught my eye! I would recommend listing the titles of each article separately from the paragraph for future reference, as it makes it a bit easier to catch on to what each article will be about. Just a suggestion! I love how simple you continued to make the post though. I really liked how in the first article towards the end you ended up giving your viewpoint on the topic, and even relating your own experience to it! Awesome that that organization volunteers to do their taxes for free!

  4. Good evening Emma,
I enjoyed all the article choices, I found them both informative and interesting. The one that really stuck out to me the most as I was reading the titles and had to read first was the last article about the changes that spine surgeons want. I’m glad to see that both the doctors and the patients are on the same side and hopefully a change will be made to benefit both parties.
